The Adamant Health symptom report – accurate insight into the patients' condition

A detailed overview of the patients' symptoms for personalized treatment and optimal symptom control.

Adamant Health’s unique CE-marked data-analysis technology, based on surface electromyography (EMG) and kinematic measurements, provides detailed and accurate symptom data, essential for supporting personalized treatment that can be continuously optimized.

Our service uses a small, wearable device to continuously measure both neuromuscular signals and motor symptoms. For the measurement period, detailed and accurate symptom data is presented in an easy-to-read report.

The report includes a graphic visualization of the changes in the patient’s condition, an overview of the detected symptoms and their timing, and a summary of the symptoms reported by the patient.

Accurate picture of the patient’s condition

Neuromuscular index of Parkinson’s disease - Adamant Health

The core of the Adamant Health symptom report builds the neuromuscular index of Parkinson’s disease which presents a graphic visualization of the changes in the patient’s condition complemented by the observations based on our symptom analysis.

The graph shows the amount of movement and unusual muscle activity during the time of the measurement. It includes a separate line for each day of measurement as well as a line showing the average value for all days of measurement indicating certain trends or commonalities.

The graphic visualization presented in the neuromuscular index is based on the vast amount of data obtained through the EMG and kinematic measurements which are combined and processed using our research-based data-analysis technology.

In addition, the neuromuscular index provides information about the patient’s adherence to the medication plan by comparing the scheduled and reported medication intake.

Objectively measured Parkinson’s symptoms

Observed Parkinson's symptoms - Adamant Health

As a result of our unique data analysis using highly advanced mathematical algorithms, the symptom report lists the patient’s Parkinson’s-related symptoms, such as tremor, bradykinesia, and rigidity, which have been observed during the measurement. The report also shows possible Parkinson’s medication side effects like dyskinesia.

For each observed symptom or medication side effect, the report states the timing as well as the frequency of occurrence during the time of the measurement.

Patient-reported Parkinson’s symptoms

Symptom diary - Adamant Health

For the time of the measurement, the patients are asked to document the symptoms they are experiencing. If the patient's condition allows, the patient keeps a diary about the motor symptoms and reports the medication intake as well as the state of well-being. The symptom report also gives an overview of those patient-reported symptoms and allows to compare those to the objectively measured symptoms.

The Adamant Health symptom report provides clinicians with accurate insight into the patient’s condition and gives clear visibility into the patient’s symptoms. This enables more effective communication with patients and caretakers and supports the development of a highly personalized treatment plan that can be continuously optimized.
